Where Elegance Meets History
Historic Rosemont Manor in Berryville, VA was built in 1811 as a wedding present from the first High Sheriff of Clarke County, George Norris, to his bride, Jane Wormeley. Many years later the mansion and its surrounding acres were purchased by Va Governor and US Senator Harry Byrd, Sr.
During the Byrd Family's residency at Rosemont, the Manor was host to many dignitaries and celebrities, including five US Presidents. Rosemont was purchased in 2009 by William and Barbara Genda, long-time Berryville residents, who sought to save this historic treasure from falling into the hands of housing developers.
The Gendas lovingly restored the Manor house, the grounds, and a number of free-standing cottages on the property and have opened Historic Rosemont to the public as Northern Va's premier Bed & Breakfast and Wedding/Special Events venue. With multiple indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception locations, Rosemont is an idyllic spot for the wedding of your dreams.
