Art Wedding Reportage
Once I asked my sister to pose for me in my self designed wedding dress. From what I remember I wanted to create the most romantic shot. She had a long veil and a dress from the kitchen curtains. It looked really good, so soon …I wanted more.
That is how my wedding carrier started.
Ever since I have done more than 200 weddings in America, Netherlands and Poland. The most crazy weddings were in Hawaii and on the glaciers in Alaska. The shortest weddings on the cruise ships in Miami - approximately 20 minutes of ceremony. The longest ones were in Poland with my colleague who filmed it with me during the whole night parties.
I like the weddings here in Netherlands: not too extreme or too pompous. I usually take some shots during the preparations for example at hairdresser, etc. Then we go for the location shoot, what takes approx 1 to 2 hrs. During that I try to have 3 locations of your choice where we can photograph, and also one location in case it rains. Later during the city hall ceremony I concentrate on the reportage shots and toasts after the ceremony. At the end we go for some group shoots and we leave to the restaurant where I approximately stay until the cake is cut.
Editing the photographs takes from 1 to 2 weeks, but you can ask me for a quick “Thank you” card which I can send the day later. You can indicate which text would you like to have there and I choose 3 location shots and then I send it to you.
