Katy Lengacher is the photographer behind Icarus Photography. Katy studied at Indiana University's School of Journalism, specializing in photojournalism. Her experience includes working with the Bloomington Herald-Times and Washington Times-Herald, as well as seven years as a freelance photographer. She completed an intensive photography program in Paris, France, under the direction of photographer Jeffrey Wolin in 2008.
Katy volunteers as an affiliate photographer for the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation. NILMDTS is a foundation that offers free rememberance photography to parents suffering the loss of an infant or young child. We believe these images serve as an important step in the family's healing process by honoring their child's legacy.
