Hello. I'm a documentary wedding photographer based in Staffordshire but photographing weddings throughout the UK. Documentary wedding photography for me is about photographing the day as it unfolds in a very natural and realistic fashion, telling the story of the day and capturing moments that give an insight into what it was like to be there - so that when you look back on your wedding photography in the years to come all the emotions of the day come alive again. I don't want to pose people or make them repeat things they did but to spend the day telling a story about a couple and a wedding and the people that came together to celebrate it. Documentary wedding photography allows me to work in a subtle way to capture the story of the day - looking for the best light, the perfect moment to press the shutter and the little details and incidents that make a day personal and unique.
