Who am I
My name is Thijs Meijers and I am living in the province Limburg, in a small village named Posterholt.
In the year 2000 I was sworn official as “Babs” registrar.
In 2009 I started my own business, because I wanted to offer more service to the brides and grooms.
In the last few years I contracted a lot of civil marriages and partner registrations.
Many different nationalities and all kinds of cultures gave already their consent in my presence. Even some homosexual marriages, it doesn’t matter, because every marriage is a special one !
Also various age classes make use of my services as a registrar.
Some Dutch brides and grooms, which are living in Germany or Belgium, have had a once in a life time day, arranged by me.
I never use standard lines or scripts, only reality stories told by the intended spouses.
THERE IS A LARGE AND EXCITING DIVERSITY AND EVERY CEREMONY IS UNIQUE !!
Marriage on location
You want to get married at a specific beautifull location ?
Most local authorities in the Netherlands have established locations for marriage, indicated by the city council.
Do you want to get married at your own “dream location” , for instance the forest or on the beach or at your own special private location, than I have the solution.
The legal and civil part of the wedding will take place at the council-house in your own local authority. Most local authorities have restrained several hours in a week for free marriage.
The legal part can happen very quickly and without a ceremony. The bride and groom will give their consent, sign the marriage certificate and ready you are !
And that’s where I come in the picture.
Later on we carry out your dream wedding completely according to your wishes.
I will be wearing a gown and I will bring your certificate of marriage which will be signed by me, the witnesses and the bride and groom.
Together we will create your own special and unique wedding ceremony at a day, moment and location chosen by you.
