Thanasis Protatos is a freelance director and cinematographer from Greece. With his unique contemporary style he shoots films based on a documentary approach. With minimum intervention he lets the stories unfold and sets himself right into the heart of them capturing every moment that really counts.
His work is featured in many film festivals around the world. In 2013 he received the prestigious Accolade Award of Excellence for his feature documentary "the Journey" featuring a traditional Greek wedding in Serifos island. He also participated as a director and editor in the making of "Royal Red" , a feature documentary film about a real Royal wedding in Udaipur , India. He has also been awarded by WeddingWire as one of the best wedding videographers in Greece for 2015.
He has produced and directed many short films and TV commercials. He is also a DP , an editor , a visual fx artist and a musician.
He travels the world for any kind of project including feature films , documentaries , wedding films and more!
