The CastleGate is an iconic venue in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne, filled with history and character. If you’re looking for somewhere a little bit different for your special day, where you can plan every detail from scratch and avoid spiralling costs, then our spectacular Turbine Hall is the perfect location. Once generating electricity for the city's trams, the refurbished Turbine Hall can comfortably accommodate up to 250 for a seated wedding breakfast and up to 500 for an evening reception. Our blank canvas wedding package offers exceptional value, and enables you to create your own wedding with a magnificent backdrop. Our aim is to provide as much flexibility as possible, so you can personalise your day to make it your own. A dedicated event manager is on hand to help and advise at every stage of the process, from initial enquiry through to the wedding day itself.
