I love when I meet a new client and we just click instantly. And to top if off they trust my judgement creatively, and want me to “just do my thing” on their wedding day! I knew I needed to shoot Jocelyn & CJ’s wedding from the minute I first met with Jocelyn. I knew she had all of these amazing details set, she was going to look stunning, and her excitement was beyond contagious when she was describing her big day! I am so glad that fate brought us all together!
Jocelyn & CJ decided to do a First Look. It was so emotional and romantic! I love doing a First Look on your wedding day! It gives you so much more time for photos of the couple, and allows us to get a little more creative!
The whole wedding party had me laughing the entire day, but there are just no words for how funny the Maid of Honor and Best Man were!! Check out their entrance during intros!
After Jocelyn’s dance with her father, she realized that her brother (who could not be there) was on Skype watching their dance. Tears instantly filled her eyes…actually, I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house, including mine!!

Carolyn & Mark are just the sweetest couple ever. I was so excited about working with them on their wedding day for a few reasons: they are awesome clients, it was peak fall leaf season, we were at one of my favorite venues (the Simsbury Inn), and they did a first look..which means a ton of time for photos of them!!

I love working with Rachel for a couple of reasons. She is always up for whatever I suggest. She is a good sport about it, and always rocks every look I throw out there! She is also so fluid in front of the camera which makes me have a ton of fun behind the camera.
I was so excited when she came to me asking for a maternity session. We had a few ideas…and this is what we came up with…

Sometimes when you first meet someone, you know you are going to be instant friends. That is pretty much how I felt when I met Mallory and Jason! I also knew right away that they were the kind of clients I love to work with. They are sweet, funny, and so in love with one another. Their wedding day was filled with so much joy and love from the time I arrived, until the last dance! It was all about family, friends, and celebrating Mallory and Jason’s love from start to finish!
All of Mallory’s details are vintage inspired (or the real deal)! Her shoes, earings, and a few other pieces were real vintage pieces that she had incorporated into her stunning look.
PS – Geeky photographer side note…This chapel on the Ethel Walker campus was a DREAM to shoot in!! The light pouring in was absolutely perfect in every way…ahhh I could have photographed in here all day!

Megan and Adam have had a rare relationship. Their history together goes back to elementary school when they first met, and remained friends. Then that friendship changed to love…and now marriage!! There is truly something special about having such a long-lasting friendship as Megan and Adam’s! This means that their wedding day was a longtime coming!
Not only do Megan and Adam have an adorable relationship, but they have an adorable fur-child, Marley, who actually made a special appearance during their “First Look”! I don’t know who is more excited, Marley or her mommy and daddy?
Can this custom cake topper, by You’ve Been Cupcaked, be any more amazing? I absolutely adore the idea of having their whole “family” represented on top of the cupcake tower!
Because Megan and Adam decided to do a super romantic “First Look”, we had the opportunity to do photos before and after their ceremony!

Crystal and Colby planned such a beautiful wedding for their friends and family. We started out getting ready in Massachusetts, on to the church, and then partied all night at the Simsbury Inn.
Crystal had so many beautiful vintage inspired pieces to go with her dress. I couldn’t get enough of them!
I’ve seen some really great first dances, but Crystal & Colby’s took the cake! They started dancing in a “normal” slow dance, and then broke out into an amazing swing dance!

Jenna and Bill are rock star clients…no really, they are true rock star clients! Bill is in a rock band and Jenna is just rad in every sense! They also decided to make their wedding rad! I loved everything about their wedding: the details, the location, the vows, and the fun had by all of their guests!
Bill had a vision of what Jenna would look like the moment he saw her…I bet he realized she was even more beautiful than he could ever had imagined!

I adore Stacey & Alkis! For many reasons…they are super relaxed and natural in front of the camera, they are planning an amazing wedding for next year and I’m excited about shooting it, and they have a love of wine…just like me! We found it only fitting that we do their engagement session at Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford. Not only is this location beautiful, but we got to enjoy the ambiance of prime wine season!
I’m not really sure how we lucked out on getting THE NICEST SUNSET OF THE YEAR!! I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. The first time we scheduled for their engagement pictures it was a rainy, miserable day. Stacey had requested that we change the date to two days later and I gladly agreed. It must have been fate, because that night I could have shot into the sunset for hours (if only the sunset lasted for hours lol). It was the most incredible sky I’ve ever seen in my life, and having two awesome subjects in front of this stunning backdrop just made me the happiest photographer in the world!
Please tell me how this sky is THIS amazing?? And yes, that is a little slice of the moon in the top left corner. LOVE THIS image of the two of them!

I can not say enough about Marley and Michael. They are seriously the nicest people I have ever met. They are the most adorable couple, and are constantly snuggling and giggling with each other.
I just love this image of Marley!! It was such a quiet, beautiful moment during the hustle and bustle of getting ready.
I often talk about the “moments in between the pose” which is after I pose my clients, the moment that they make between the two of them. Michael and Marley are experts at being cute all the time, so the moments that they make in between my posing is what makes magic!
Not only did all of the guests have a blast, but Michael and Marley danced ALL NIGHT at their wedding. I love when a bride and groom really get to enjoy every minute of their wedding!
Ok, so there is no way to describe this situation other than this: I was walking around during the reception taking photos of everyone dancing and having a great time, when this happened right in front of me, so I quickly grabbed a photo. I think it is hysterical and definitely a first for me. I’ve never seen someone slap another person on the dance floor but it was so funny, I was cracking up behind the camera.
